Introducing Trafford Palazzo

Peel L&P introduces Trafford Palazzo brand with weekend extravaganza

Two-day event will run 20th - 21st November at the formerly named Barton Square

Peel L&P will unveil a new brand for the Barton Square development, Trafford Palazzo, with a weekend of celebrations planned for 20-21st November.

The new brand has been created to reposition the retail and leisure destination which recently underwent a £75 million transformation and is home to several of the country’s most exciting leisure facilities including SEA LFE Manchester, Legoland and a new flagship Primark store amongst others.

Situated at the heart of Trafford Palazzo is its Roman-style, open square fountain which is reminiscent of the dominant Campanile, an Italian village square or courtyard and will be the destination for the launch weekend activities.

A spectacular itinerary

Celebrations will commence from 12pm on Saturday 20th November, with Trafford Palazzo’s iconic ‘living statues’ taking to the floor before launch of the main ‘Trafford Palazzo Show’ at 2pm which will include powerhouse vocals from opera to pop, energetic dance performances, a stunning orchestra of strings, mesmerizing acrobats and a breath-taking aerial display. There will also be live music performances throughout the day.

The main show will be repeated for 4pm.

Live music at Trafford Palazzo

Launch celebrations will continue Sunday 21st when Trafford Palazzo’s spacious mall will host a series of live music events beginning with the Electric Dream Show at 1pm which will feature a performance from an electric violinist group accompanied by a ballet performance. This will be followed by a live music set and a percussion performance from the Trafford Palazzo Show cast starting at 3pm.

Over the course of the weekend face painting will be available for all guests, perfect for families with young children.

Visitors to Trafford Palazzo will also be able to enjoy a series of live DJ sets throughout the launch weekend, adding to the sense of vibrancy and adventure at play at the shopping and leisure destination.

Celebrating an incredible transformation

Mark Whittaker, executive director of Peel L&P, owners of Trafford Palazzo, commented: “We are really excited about the launch of Trafford Palazzo and the spectacular event taking place on 20th/21st November. It is important to celebrate what has been an incredible transformation, as we introduce the Trafford Palazzo brand. We are looking forward to welcoming families from across the region to enjoy the celebrations and experience the new brand.”

An amazing reaction from customers

Primark have seen an amazing reaction from customers since opening our store here last year and we look forward to continuing to offer the latest seasonal trends and everyday essentials, all at affordable prices.”

Already attracting five million visitors a year, Trafford Palazzo is home to an 84,356 sq ft flagship Primark store, homestyle retailers Homesense, Natuzzi, Silent Night and Next Home plus leisure attractions Legoland Discovery Centre, SEA LIFE Manchester, with further major openings of Nerf AX and Archies confirmed for 2022. In addition, a quality Italian restaurant and discount branded shoe shop are currently fitting out and due to open soon.
