King Pins to join line-up at TraffordCity this year

Trafford Palazzo gets the ball rolling with Bowling Alley deal

News | 4 Mar '22

King Pins has agreed a deal with Peel L&P to launch its flagship bowling alley occupying a 20,064 sq ft unit within Trafford Palazzo, part of TraffordCity.

The state-of-the-art modern bowling alley will feature 15 lanes of tenpin bowling, 6 lanes of duckpin bowling, a focal point bar serving 20 different beers, and boasting a substantial cocktail menu including a selection of non-alcoholic mocktails.

King Pins will be located adjacent to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre and SEA LIFE at Trafford Palazzo and will complement the existing leisure offering with games such as ice curling, shuffleboard, arcades, karaoke, pool, ping pong and mini golf. Food and sweet treats will be provided by multiple local street food vendors.

The venue will also feature a 26m digital screen across the bowling lanes, a first of its kind in the UK.

Flagship venue for the brand

Matt Jones, Founder and CEO of King Pins said: “We are really excited to be launching our flagship venue in Manchester and where better than the impressive surroundings of Trafford Palazzo.

“The venue will be family friendly during the day with plenty of activities to keep the whole family occupied. When the evening comes the lights will go down, the music will go up, and the atmosphere will become electric, appealing to evening entertainment seekers.”

King Pins at Trafford Palazzo will be the original flagship venue for the brand, with plans to open several more next year across the UK.

Celebrating another impactful launch

Mark Whittaker, Executive Director - Property Investment & Management at Peel L&P said: “King Pins is our latest partner to join a very exciting line-up of retail and leisure brands at Trafford Palazzo. We are so pleased King Pins has chosen to open its unique flagship bowling experience at TraffordCity and know it will be extremely well received.

“Our strategy has been focused on curating a mix of brands that can work together to create a bespoke offering that appeals to all our visitors. We are really looking forward to seeing the space come together and celebrating another impactful launch.”

This follows the announcement last month that new Italian restaurant, Matterello will open at Trafford Palazzo early Spring. Nerf Action Experience (NerfAX) and popular restaurant Archie’s are both set to open in the autumn this year.

Trafford Palazzo’s growing range of shopping and leisure brands include Primark, LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre, SEA LIFE, Silentnight, Homesense, Natuzzi, Shoeaholics and Next Home.
