Lace up your trainers and give it a go!
Looking for a convenient route for a 3 or 5k run? Maybe you're looking for an outdoor running route to complement your workout. Or why not combine with a visit to The Trafford Centre, complete the circuit and reward yourself with a healthy drink or snack from one of the takeaway restaurants cafes and bars.
You don’t need to be a world-class athlete but a basic level of fitness is required. This Run’s for you if you generally run at least twice per month and feel comfortable running/jogging around 5km without stopping.
Pictured above some of our Peel employees who regularly run the 3k and 5k running route around TraffordCity. Starting at one of the main car parks at The Trafford Centre, then over to David Lloyd Clubs along the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal, then on to the Bridgewater Canal and back round near Barton Square.
It’s a circuit run so perfect for completing in your lunch time or after work if you're employed at TraffordCity, live locally or whenever you need to burn off some energy! It's especially good along the Bridgewater Canal, and is scenic and flat.
A regular runner reports back...
“The 3k and 5k running routes around TraffordCity are nice and flat and gives me just enough time to get round the 5k route, change and be back in to the office within my hour's lunch break. It's really good to buddy up with other runners especially when you run with someone who likes to go at a similar pace. It really breaks up the day, provides fresh air, good company and I feel great for the rest of the afternoon.”
Go at your own pace, be safe and don’t forget to have fun!
