It was a glorious day for our very first Bridgewater Way Walk in aid of The Christie.
The sun was shining and steal bands were playing. We had warm-up exercise classes, glitter tattoos and facepainting stations at Trafford Palazzo, plenty of snack stops and disco anthems from boaters along the canal and a fantastic bbq and party in Castlefield to finish.
Over 500 people took part in the 5-mile walk to raise money for The Christie’s Bloods Closer to Home service and it was incredibly moving to see how many people were walking in memory of others or as thank you to the support they and their loved ones have received from The Christie.
From start to finish everyone was smiling and making memories whilst supporting an excellent charity and cause.
Keep your eyes peeled for the total soon!
