Peter Rabbit's Christmas Grotto at intu Trafford Centre

intu Trafford Centre will be taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane this Christmas as it announces a brand-new concept for its Christmas grotto. Through a collaboration with Penguin Ventures (part of Penguin Random House), Beatrix Potter’s most famous character, Peter Rabbit™ has been brought to life in an immersive Christmas grotto experience.  And, along with a new concept, the grotto will be moving from its old location at Barton Square to a brand-new spot outside the Great Hall.

From Wednesday 14 November, the classic characters will welcome visitors into Peter Rabbit’s warm and cosy burrow by a friendly woodland Elf who will introduce them to Peter Rabbit before he leads them on a magical adventure through his winter woodland.

En-route to seek out Father Christmas, children will search Squirrel Nutkin’s trail of Christmas acorns to find his secret Christmas dinner stash and decorate cookies with Jemima Puddle-Duck. They will get to meet Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle and then be dared to enter Mr. Tod’s lair to sit around the cooking pot, but will they be brave enough to stir it?

Visitors will then end their magical Peter Rabbit Christmas Grotto experience with a meeting with Father Christmas where they will receive a beautiful gift and the opportunity to pose for a photograph with him to have a keepsake of their amazing adventure.
