Big Ben has chimed, we've welcomed in 2018 with a round of Auld Lang Syne and wake on New Year's Day, slightly fuzzy headed but determined to tackle that long list of resolutions. But how many times do we start the year full of good intentions only to see them evaporate before the Valentine's Day cards hit the shops? We've all been there, so here are a few handy tips to help you keep those resolutions, whatever you're hoping to achieve in 2018.
1. Be realistic.
Set yourself small attainable goals rather than a sweeping change of lifestyle, that way you will get a sense of progress with every little achievement.
2. Keep a track
Track those goals with a daily journal, note down what you've achieved and how you feel. Looking back on the notes will give you a real sense of achievement and help on the days when you're not feeling motivated.
3. Be kind to yourself
Don't put yourself on a punishing diet or harsh detox regime. Remember, it's winter and you're body (and mind) will respond better to nourishing soups, healthy stews and nutrient packed smoothies.
