Bridgewater Way is the towpath that runs along the Bridgewater Canal and is easily accessible from TraffordCity just behind the car park at Trafford Palazzo. It's perfect for pottering by the water, pram pushing, feeding the ducks, waving at boats or teaching kids to ride their bikes.
Get on your bike
Did you know you can get on your bike and cycle to and from TraffordCity along the Bridgewater Way towpath? You can cycle from the City Centre, Leigh, Sale and beyond and arrive at TraffordCity just behind Barton Square.

Summer is the perfect time to get those extra miles in and where better than in the beautiful natural surroundings of the canal? Plus, there are numerous pubs and restaurants along the way for a reviving drink or lunch.
Visit RHS Bridgewater
RHS Garden Bridgewater is a 154-acre garden in Salford is located just under 6 miles from TraffordCity and easily accessible via the Bridgewater Way canalside path. It's the biggest hands-on horticultural project undertaken in Europe since planning permission was granted in 2017. Visitors will be able to access world-class horticultural inspiration and expertise at the first-ever RHS Garden to be located in an urban area.
RHS Garden Bridgewater is just under 6 miles away from TraffordCity via the Bridgewater Way meaning you can take a stroll there in around 1 hour 30 minutes or get on your bike and be there in around 45 minutes.
